Subject Brightness Range

For this task i had to use the subject brightness range to generate the correct exposure. I used the same shutter speed for both readings, i  then had to figure out the aperture from the brightest part of the scene and then again for the darkest. Then get the correct exposure from my image i had to find the midway point (between the two apertures).  I took an image in the darkest and brightest area and got these results;

Highlight reading      f32 at 1/125th
Shadow reading        f11 at 1/125th
mid point reading     f16 at 1/50th

Overall i found this task difficult due to functions with the camera, i struggled with getting a full aperture stop to correctly expose with the shutter speed for these images, therefore i am going to re-practice this exercise when i get my new camera to gain a better understanding.
