Studio Practice 1A – Test shots 6

(Contact sheet found in Outcome 3, page 12 )

For my last set of test shots i decided to focus on what i wanted to produce in my final images.
I shot the images of the eyes, ears, legs and elbows. When shooting the eye i had my subject looking slightly up to the side to add a more life like affect to the eye. When shooting the ear i had the head slightly turned towards the camera in order to capture the whole ear and a slight amount of hair in order to create the genderless appearance.
When shooting the legs, i had them sat and crossed over on a stool. The legs being crossed over added a more abstract and genderless look to the images. I then had one elbow then two elbows added to the crossed over legs which added an either further abstract look in relation to Bill Brandt’s work.
Some of the images i shot here i selected for my portfolio images, however others were still over exposed, out of focus and not what i wanted to capture therefore i looked back through my other test shots and selected the best ones.
