Studio Practice 1B – Test Shot 2 – Documentation

Test shot 2 overview

Due to issues with exposure in the first test shoot i decided to approach this shoot slightly differently

1- Firstly i made a large white background out of plain white paper, i stuck it all together and stuck it to flat surface.
2- Secondly i then stuck the cut our caricatures on to a sheet of plain white paper.
3- As i was then ready to shoot, i took a photograph of the background white paper and set the white balance according to the image.
4- After that i then stuck the plain white paper with the caricature to the background and began shooting. I used natural light for this. I then swapped over the caricatures and shot them all.

Using this technique i managed to shoot all the caricatures and present them like silhouettes. The background was white and the caricatures black. This was a successful shoot.
