Techniques and Process 1B – Proposal – Change of approach

Over the past 5 shoots i have not managed to meet my full expectations of my original proposal idea therefore i have re-thought my approach after further research in to Rankin and Leibovitz work and techniques used within some of the images i have shot.

I have decided to change from producing a series of work which produces a story to capturing images which have a blue toned white balance which capture cold and fearful images which would represent my narrative of Little Red Riding Rood to the original Brothers Grimm stories.

I have already managed to capture my studio shots with a blue toned white balance. It has added an artistic affect to the image which enhances the emotion captured. It creates a narrative within itself and transforms the image, making it more contemporary. Therefore i am aiming to capture a blue toned white balance series out on location. I still want to portray emotion/expression within the portraits however i will be using white balance in order to do this.
