Techniques and Process 1B – Portfolio selection process

Proposal – final pieces

In order to choose my final pieces i looked through all the shoots i have done within the different techniques of Flash, Photoshop and film. The final images i have chosen demonstrate my ability to use these techniques as well as incorporate my narrative of Little Red Riding Hood.
I have chosen 3 images whereby i used flash in the studio, 1 image which i used Photoshop (post-processed) and 1 film image. These images i have selected are the strongest from the shoots and also represent my idea of a Grimm, scary, questionable fairy tale. Within each image the models expression is strong and represents a frightened/cautious/terrified emotion. I have also managed to incorporate an image with a blue white balance which adds a cold, fearful creative affect to the image which further explores the emotion within the narrative of the print.
The images are a mixture of indoor and outdoor scenes. Which also adds to the creative affect of the narrative and show a further demonstration of the use of  techniques used.

Best Practice

The images i have selected for my best practice are the strongest images from my class tasks and development work within the use of the techniques of flash, Photoshop, white balance and film. These images demonstrate my understanding of the techniques used show my understanding of these techniques.
