Advanced Studio Practice 2A – Test Shoot 1

My first test shoot was very successful. I created the look of the model and photographed using a 70- 300mm lens and ambient light. Overall i am happy with my results and how the make-up within the picture looks on the model, it is what i want to portray. However there are a few key elements which i need to work on within my next shoots.

– lose hair strands around the models shoulders, these caused a problem and look lose and messy and draw attention away from the models face. I can fix this by checking over my models and double checking my screen before shooting.

– sharpness of the eyes. This is a key aspect to my images. I just have to make sure 100% they are sharp and focused. This mainly needs to be practised more.

– composition of the photograph. I want my photo to be level on every side, this means i need to set my camera up and move my model until i am satisfied it is an accurate measurement. This could alter the whole perception of the image therefore it is a very important factor.
