This non-daylight brief requires me to use any artificial light of my choice to create an aesthetic around my subject choice. I will be using artificial lights in order to draw round buildings and people in order to create a series of images with an artistic and contemporary twist. This will allow me to experiment and develop the techniques used within night photography and using long exposures.
I will be using glow sticks and sparklers in order to create these images. This will mean i will have to plan my shoots and make sure i have access to these light sources. I will also need models available and have to find locations upon which i want to photograph.
This brief will require me to research and experiment with painting with light techniques. I will need to experiment with different ideas and exposures in order to create the artistic, contemporary images i want to produce. My aim is to take a plain subject and bring it to life with bursts of lights, as if making the subject matter 3D and engaging. I will be photographing later at night so that the sky is black and so my light sources can be captured at full effect.
I will be using a DSLR camera, a tripod, release shutter remote and a range of lenses for these photographs. This will allow me to experiment with long exposer times and capture depth within my images. They will also be sharp and and focused due to lack of camera shake by using a tripod. I will also shoot in RAW format for post-production purposes.
