Outcome 3 – record of substantial body of work
Shoot taking place on 19/02/15
The aim of this shoot is create a series of images which represent the issues within my project. I want these images to allow the audience to see a starting visual point of the project.
I will be shooting in an editorial fashion style upon location. My model will be dressed in her ‘everyday going out’ clothes and we are shooting at a location which she connects with – Kirkstall Abbey.
The aim of this shoot is to photograph my model/subject in order represent the issues within my project. My model will wear 3 different outfits which represent her fashion lifestyle; everyday look, workday look, going out look. I will photograph in an editorial style in order to explore the issues of fashion magazines creating images which misinterpret how people actually look in their day to day lives.
I met the aims of my shoot. I have managed to capture a series of images which explore ‘Ewelinas’ fashion trends within her lifestyle. I have captured similar poses in each outfit in order to represent how she is the same person however she does look different within different situations of her life.
Due to weather conditions i had to change the location of the shoot for health and safety reasons. Therefore within my next photoshoot with Ewelina, i will be photographing upon location which is specific to the fashion trend she will be portraying. In order to do this i must arrange a day to photograph Ewelina again and also discuss which ‘look’ i want to photograph, the location of the shoot (which we discussed in relation to the ‘look’) and what poses/expressions i want to capture – this is a key important feature as i need to continue these poses throughout each models/subject series of images in order to keep the representation of the model the same so that the issues of the project are clear. This will require me to research in to the current Editorial fashion magazine images and re-interpret them.
As stated above i had to move to an indoor location for this shoot, i used a grey wall and a speed light soft box set up for this shoot. Looking through the images i believe they could be sharper and composed stronger. However this shoot was set up quickly an hour before meet time so improvements are going to be the next step within my project- composition/lighting/exposure/focus are going to be double checked before i am happy i have an image.
