I have had to postpone my shoot on Wednesday 25th February due to model having a medical appointment. We are rearranging the shoot for the week after.
The aim of this shoot was to photograph my subject within her work day fashion style on location within a magazine lifestyle image representation.
I did not meet the aims of my shoot. I am unhappy with the images i have captured;
– soft focused – need to be sharper
– location is not to a high standard – doesn’t represent a magazine image
– struggled to focus the image due to glare from the sun + rushed as quick time limit and people around us interrupting
– position/pose of subject need to be stronger/dominant to represent herself
– angle of myself needs to be looked at
– Need less depth of field
– Flash + reflectors may be needed
I have struggled with the location shoots within my project. I am trying to create a series of images which represent the different lifestyle fashion styles of my subjects within a magazine standard/style in order to raise the awareness of potential false representation of women within the fashion world.
Looking through my images i am finding that my location shots do not portray this, I need to do further research in to lifestyle fashion images and location scout in order to create high standard images. On location i also need to incorporate flash and reflectors to make sure they are representing the ‘glamorous/perfect’ look. As well as this i am going to shoot within the studio where i have more control in order to make the standard/style images which are used in fashion magazines. This will also allow for make-up artists to be used to make sure the models/people still have the ‘flawless’ look however they are still representing their lifestyle fashion styles.
I will now be doing further research in to influencing published fashion magazine images and arranging future shoots for within the studio and planning location shoots more carefully.
