Specialist Techniques and Process 3 – Test Shoot 3

The aim of this shoot was to capture different expressions upon a persons face to see if I could link it into my project work.

I set up the studio and positioned my models in the same way. I presented them a prop (Christmas Hat) and began having a general conversation with them telling them lies and truths about the hat and also making them laugh. Due to this engagement I managed to capture different expressions from each model.

The overall quality of the images has helped me solve the problem i have been having with kit. I used the Cannon 650D instead of my Nikon D3200 and also used a tripod, so there was no camera shake or moving of framing. The images are sharp and focused. I am happy with the overall aesthetic  of them. They look like fashion images which represents my interest within the area. I’d like to continue testing this theme throughout my project work to see whether or not it transforms the images and gives them something extra to look at and to convey the meaning and my interests.
