The aim of this shoot was to begin developing the creative ideas from test shoot 4 in order to finalise images for my project. Collaborating with a make-up artists and a model. I provided the make-up artist with a strict structure (make-up looks, hair styles, background colours) which I am shooting specifically.
Due to the problems within shoot 4, I took precautions in triple checking dates and times with the make-up artist and model. Unfortunately the make-up artist cancelled on me two days before the shoot was going to take place. With regards to the time limit, I first tried to arrange for another make-up artist, as it was short notice I was unable to do this, I therefore went and bought all the products I needed in order to create the specific trends I wanted to capture, I also informed the model and asked her to come earlier in order to give us more time (myself and a friend would be applying the make-up).
Once problems were resolved the shoot went well, using a female which is confident in front of the camera made a vast difference to posing and the overall look of the images. The confidence from the model allowed me to direct the way she posed and also allowed the model to be assertive herself (empowered). This has allowed me to interpret a range of different pose ideas for my future subjects to try and re-create/portray.
The next step within my project is to continue photographing to the strict structure (make-up trends, hair style, colour backgrounds) through continued collaborations with make-up artists and people with more direction from myself and the subjects in relation to the portrayal of the subject.
The pictures below represent this directed and empowered posing structure. (not edited)
